I feel sad too, such an amazing artist. He had a show here a few years ago just after I had given birth to Matilda, I remember pushing this little bundle round the Tate Modern, and looking at his vast canvases. My son described one of his paintings perfectly, what he saw was amazed me. I had only been peripherally aware of Cy Twombly up til now, but his work is INCREDIBLE, I wish I'd discovered it before! He's left an amazing legacy :) I also wanted to say thanks for following my blog, I love every single thing you post so I'm very flattered!

his polaroids are also beautiful. I have seen it recently and it gave me an inside into his paintings. Highly recommend.
