cy twombly

cy twombly| sadly passed away last week
an artist i have admired for a long time....

graffiti is linear and it’s done with a pencil, and it’s like writing on walls. but in my paintings it’s more lyrical.

  5. I feel sad too, such an amazing artist. He had a show here a few years ago just after I had given birth to Matilda, I remember pushing this little bundle round the Tate Modern, and looking at his vast canvases. My son described one of his paintings perfectly, what he saw was amazed me. When ever I go to the Tate they have Quattro Stagioni I always have to go and look at it.
