i put flowers in anything: old condiment jars,
milk bottles, tins, anything really-
as long as it holds water.

mono clothing

mono clothing is a succession of capsule
series + projects which attempt to explore the
spaces between art, craft, design + fashion
aiming to redefine the categorical convention
of these genres as well as their ideals,
content, norms + expectations.

the work stands for more than just a cycle of
endless products + seasons, it is a stand
against the complacency within the fashion ideal.

mono is designed by heather martin in vancouver-
each item is either handcrafted in studio
or locally produced.

bARBARA i gONGINI

bARABARA i gONGINI is dripping with originality- i love everything she does. i've been a fan of her work for a few years now. her work is breathtaking, androgynous yet very delicate. one of her core concepts is sustainability. her company practices fair-trade production, as well as promoting the use of organic fibers.

raw, ageless, almost genderless, geometric shapes, textures, organic, big turns into small.

during the work, interdisciplinary co-operation with other artists within music, photography, film, etc, is emphasised and this co-operation nourishes inspiration during the design process itself.
