my gorgeous sister in-law passed away yesterday. unexpected, i still can't believe it- i am in shock and devastated. i feel so sad for my lovely brother in-law and his beautiful children. i know she loved them so much. donna was the most beautiful, bubbly person and a laugh you will never forget. who will i gossip with now? i have memories that no one can steal... i miss you donna.

in spite of all....

"in spite of all evidence that life is discontinuous, a valley of rifts, and that random chance plays a great part in our fates, we go on believing in the continuity of things, in causation and meaning. but we live on a broken mirror, and fresh cracks appear in its surface every day."

....

my tears are like the quiet drift
of petals from some magic rose;
and all my grief lows from the rift
of unremembered skies and snows.

i think, that if i touched the earth,
it would crumble;
it is so sad and beautiful,
so tremendously like a dream.
