we are...

we are torn between nostalgia for the familiar and an urge for the foreign and strange. as often as not, we are homesick most for the places we have never known.

we are...

we are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. life is eternal. we have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. this is a precious moment. it is a little parenthesis in eternity.

melbourne

a little late...
just before christmas i went to melbourne with my two little ones for a break. (i know a little late, but this post has somehow been lost). i spend some wonderful time with my dear friend dayle (greenbeenfood). dayle works for brasserie bread in south melbourne, they do free bread making classes for the little ones on saturdays, lots of fun. thank you lovely for all the amazing things you did for us, i miss you lots. we did so much walking, i am still tired off it... and i am still laughing and smiling at the fun times we had with my gorgeous friend brett, we met many years ago in london.

it was one of those rare smiles...

he smiled understandingly—much more than understandingly. it was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life. it faced—or seemed to face—the whole external world for an instant, and then concentrated on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favour. it understood you just as far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself.
