sometimes

just sometimes i think of you.
like when i roll over and you’re not there.
or a stranger’s hand brushes mine.
or a fleeting memory photographed in my mind pops up.
those are the worst.
that’s when i can smell you, feel you.
it’s crippling really. but i’m fine.

mmm

moments

there are moments of such pure, sublime, unparalleled
perfection that they will force you to close your eyes
and hold on to them as best you can.
life is a series of these moments.
everything else is just waiting for them.

maggie hollingworth

maggie hollingworth recycles paper waste- producing a
range of contemporary vessels and sculptural forms
for interior spaces, inspired by primitive artefacts,
archaeology and nature. a limited palette of carefully
selected neutral colour makes shape and
surface quality paramount.

where you used to be,
there is a hole in the world,
which i find myself constantly walking around in the daytime,
and falling in at night.
i miss you like hell

ma ke: wu yong

her work is absolutly amazing, organic yet theatrical,
voluminous, sculptural garments, form over function,
beauty before practicality, esoteric + conceptual
you can read more about her work here
i came across her work a while ago in selveedge magazine

a song...

you were a song i couldn’t sing
you were a story i couldn’t tell
i’ve only ever loved myself
but i’ve loved myself so well.
and how defeated i return!
you’re nice and blue, you’re nice and blue.
i missed what i was supposed to learn,
as all i learned about was missing you

manon gignoux

manon gignoux creates fabric sculptures, dressed objects, clothes
and accessories – each piece is unique.
her work lies between art and fashion. her work
is unique with traces of wear and tear. raw materials
are re-used clothes and objects that retain the memory
of their original use. i almost forgot about her
till i saw an article in so-en magazine again recently.
